DEAR COLLEAGUES,
After a year of more or less intensive preparation, the 7th Congress of the European Association of Zoo and Wildlife Veterinarians is history again. Due to your co-operation we have been able to arrange such an interesting scientific programme. We could discuss current topics based on the need of wildlife veterinarians.
319 participants exchanged information during presentations and at round table sessions, by the poster exhibition and of course during many, many talks at the conference. At the post-conference excursion the attendees could discover the New Lake District area in the South of Leipzig and got an impression of a huge area that is recultivated after many years of exploiting by mining industry.
With the support of Leipzig’s city council and our Director Dr. J. Junhold we hope that we provided an appropriate framework for an intensive exchange of ideas for the benefit of in and ex situ wildlife projects.
Last but not least, we wish Dr. Jacques Kaandorp and his organization team success for the preparation of our next congress.
We look forward to meeting all friends and colleagues again – in Beekse Bergen at the latest
Best regards,
Prof. K. Eulenberger and Dr. A. Bernhard
